Star Trek Fan Fiction Art

Most of this art is pure cut and paste and blend stuff. I moved the warp nacelles in, removed the sensor array, and added a nebula background as well as my own “ship” name. The original fan blueprint was “uss Aachen by Andrew Marsden” I want to give him due credit.

I plan on using this image I’ve modified to make my own in writing some Star Trek fan fiction. If you’ve never heard of “Fan Fiction” it’s where fan’s write stories that happen in and around the universe and sometimes with the characters of their favorite stories for fun. If you google something like “Harry Potter Fan Fiction” you could find enough stuff to read for the rest of your life. I think some fan fiction that people write is incredible. Yet much of it is ruff, many times unfinished… and sometimes the subject matter gets rather strange… to put it politely much of it is great but some of it is not for kids or Christian tastes.

Again, some of it is great. My own I have written part of a Harry Potter book, a whole series of Star Trek episodes that take place on another ship with another crew, even some writing around a miniature game. It’s a fun creative outlet. If you ever try it, remember that you may never sell it. Your playing in the creative sandbox of another author. Characters like Harry Potter are really hers… she just sort of lets us play with them a bit for fun.

My new ship is actually a very old ship refitted to test out alternative power after the Dominion War (think after the end of Star Trek Deep Space Nine… Which was my favorite Trek by the way)

The Digital Gypsy

Thanks to Loretta S… a friend to this vagabond artist, I now own and have used to create this *COMPLETELY* digitally made artwork from start to finish on my nifty and downright swell gift of a digital drawing tablet.

That’s right folks here is the DISCLAIMER: no actual pen, pencil, or paper was harmed in the making of this artwork!!!

The artwork was made completely in Procreate Painter Classic. The art looks a bit four year old because this is my VERY FIRST work completely digital and I’m on the learning curve on a tablet.

Next stop… world domination!

Get Well Greeting Card

One of my friends suggested to try my hand at greeting cards. The mother of my boss sadly had to go to the hospital thus this creation is for her. Media: Sharpie black over pencil. Colored pencils, highlighters… computer scan of image slightly increased saturation only mod in computer. The words are also my creation. The original goes to her. Be well Linda’s mom! I hope it makes you smile.

The outside reads
“We’re in Your Corner”

The inside reads,

“Actually we are
under the bed,
next to the wall.

(You might want to
dust under here
when you are
feeling better!)”

A question… if I sold prints of this card would you buy one? What would you think is a fair price? Are their greeting cards that you *Don’t* see in stores that you think should be made? I need to feed my cat! I’ve got to find a niche.

propaganda poster

I find propaganda art neat. I post this here first (the fast food one)

the other I had done for my weight blog a while ago. Those ads you see for the super diet that turns you into Superman in seven days always make me laugh.

Christian Artist Trading Cards ATCs

I've been tinkering with an image of Christ layed over a Conan. Why? I've been having it on my heart to reach out to people with art for Christ. With the popularity of collectible cards and games as well as superheroes I'm wondering if it might be a vessel to reach out to share the Good News of Christ. After all it doesn't get any more superhero than Jesus, who can save souls.

Whitenack’s Wonder Ale

You know you’re an artist when… you buy a soda, and the primary reason is for the bottle.

I re-labeled a glass bottle and did a bit of sanding to take off the labels on the neck and bottle cap to whip up an old fashioned “snake oil”.

A friend was feeling a bit under the weather so to cheer him up I decided to make this artwork for him. The label reads “Whitenack’s Wonder Ale” Only 10 cents a bottle and a guaranteed cure… CURES melancholy, aches, bruises, cuts, pains, baldness, deafness, bunions… prepared from the pure genuine article of dehydrated water… RESTORES: vim. vigor, vitality, youth.
Click on either the bottle or label pic to see a larger version.
